Brown Dog Foundation Helps Dog Owners With Vet Bills
The world needs more non-profit companies like this one...
The Brown Dog Foundation is from my neck of the woods.
I'm so delighted to hear that something like this is finally available.
The Brown Dog Foundation helps dog owners who are facing expensive vet bills in order to save their dog's life.
As long as you are willing and able to pay a portion of the veterinarian's cost to save your dog's life, the Brown Dog Foundation will help pay the rest.
We know that each Emergency Vet Clinic in the US encounters 3-5 families every day who bring a pet in with a treatable condition, but due to some temporary financial crisis, they opt for euthanasia because they can't afford treatment. We want to give every family an option. That is why, everyday, we are out there raising money so if you find yourself in a financial crisis when your pet needs Veterinary Care - you don't have to think twice. Turn to Brown Dog Foundation for help."
Check out the story from the local TV news (...which also includes a video).
Here's an article from the Tennessean newspaper about Brown Dog Foundation.
I first learned of the Brown Dog Foundation on Dogster's Dog Blog.

A friend of mine told me of a lady going in a nursing home and she had a old poodle. She told me if no one would take him, she wanted him to be put to sleep. He has very bad teeth and bad eye sight. I decided to take him. I love him with my whole heart. I took him this past Oct. Since then I have lost my job and broke my foot. I will be out of my cast next week and then I can start looking again for a job. Can someone please help me with the expense of having Charlie's teeth clean and having a check up. One more thing, if anyone has a pet patio door, I would love to have it. I have a fence in yard but I'm not going to put him outside all day. He sleeps with me every night. Please respond to abrocksc@gmail.com...I'm from Moore, South Carolina...I pray I would hear from someone...
I have a mixed breed dog that is 5 years old and in need of some expensive tests and treatment for seizures. However I am on disability and cannot afford the tests or treatment, how do I get assistance with this in Morristown Tennessee
My 4 month old puggle has Arthrodesis of the elbow. Its a serious break in her elbow and if we can't get her the surgery she needs, she will have to have it amputated. We really don't want to see this happen to her, she is so young and has a full life ahead of her. I am a single mother of 3 young children, and I just cannot afford to do this surgery. I never expected this would happen to her, or even thought she could be hurt in such a way.
The vet hospital we are taking our Chloe to is Falls Rd Animal Hospital. We haven't set the date yet, because we are trying to get the funds together. But I am working with the head person in charge there, her name is Kathy West.
So far IMOM.org has raised $1536, and we received another donation of $350. The surgery costs $3500. So we are still trying to come up with $1614
If you can help, please let me know. And if you have any other places that you know may help, please let me know.
Thank you so much,
Jennifer Redwine
