Win A Free Halloween Costume For Your Dog
This year Halloween is out... and HOWL-o-ween is in!
Your kids are probably too hopped up on sugar as it is, so this year make sure that your dog has the best costume in the house.
Actually, we're going to help you with that by giving away the Halloween costume of your (and your dog's) choice from our friends at PetSmart.
See how to enter to win a free dog Halloween costume below...
Does Your Dog Need A Halloween Costume?
According to a recent PetSmart survey, nearly 20 million pets will be sporting a Halloween costume this year.
They go on to say:
Pets are like our children, and pet parents love to include their pets in the fun of dressing up for Halloween ... Our unique selection of costumes this year are a combination of returning favorites, like the cow and bumble bee, and some great new choices, like the firedog, dragon and lion. Source
In addition to those all-time classic dog Halloween costumes, PetSmart also carries popular Disney character costumes like Mickey Mouse, Tigger and Tinker Bell.
But I must admit, I'm a little partial to the Top Paw Devil costume. All of this doggone fun won't break the bank either, since all dog Halloween costumes at PetSmart are available for less than $20.
The good news is... You could win one for FREE!
Don't worry if you're thinking, "My dog would never wear a Halloween costume." We've got a few good tips to make sure that they do.

Our new puppy will be trick or treating with us this year for the first time. He will even have his own bag!
Dipstick, our cherished chihuahua, likes to sit on the chair arm near the door and bark at everyone going down the sidewalk on Halloween. Of course when someone does come to the door, he runs and hides.
I try to get my dogs to dress up on Halloween. They will wear their clothes, but won't leave any little hats on.
I dress up my puppy!!! He loves it!
Last year I took my dog dressed in his costume to a fundraising event during Halloween at work. He kept everyone entertained that's for sure
Our two dogs (chihuahuas) pretty much go anywhere we do anyway, from dropping the kids off at school, to walking to the park, so Halloween will be no different. Although, it would be nice to have a costume for at least one of them. After hubby dishes out money for the four kids, the last thing he wants to buy is a costume for the dogs, plus he was laid off recently. That is why it would be so cool to win a costume.
We put the baby gate up in the doorway so that when we open it for trick-or-treaters the dogs can come up to the door. Kids always love them!
I like the Dragon costume they have! We walk our pooch around with the kids trick-or-treating and he loves the attention he gets...so he doesn't mind wearing a little something.
Our dog, Buster, loves getting involved in all of the festivities by dressing up and going trick or treating with our family.
Our dog, Buster, loves getting involved in going trick or treating with us. We dress him up and he is soooooo excited to be around all the happy, laughing children. he's grown since last year so he needs a new costume to play.
My dog gets involved in all of the festivities by dressing up and going trick or treating with us.
My dog stays with me on Halloween, all night. Whether attending a party, going to a community event or staying home and passing out candy, she's thrilled to meet new people. She's also so smallo she can fit in a bag.
My pup Zeus loves to go trick or treating with the kids! We've never dressed him in a costume before, but he still seems excited to go door to door with us. I always take along some treats for him, too!
we dress our dogs up.
There is a pet parade in my hometown every year. Everyone dresses up their pets and we walk down the main road through town. They block the streets off and everything. We have done that for the last 2 years since we got our little Bella
I take our doc trick or treating and dress him up. The kids just love it!
My dog and I go to the doggy halloween party at a local shop
I let him sit outside with me while I hand out treats.
This is the first year of Halloween for Odin, at least with us! I adopted him this March from petfinder. Odin is a border collie/aus shepherd cross and is black with a white cross on his chest.
He is really a 'people pleaser' and loves to go on walks and visit with everyone.
Odin is such a scamp- I would love to dress him in a devil costume like the dog on the website.
Alas, though if I bought a costume my husband would think I was silly- I spoil Odin rotten and buy him toys all the time, but a costume my husband would balk at.
Now if I won one............ :)
My shih tzu, Yoshi, and I do our own private Halloween "warm-up" stroll through the apartment complex while he's wearing his costume. He loves all the attention he gets from the people at the office, maintenance shed, and anyone else he comes across while we're doing "the walk"!

My fave way to get my dog involved is just to bring him anywhere Halloween activities are happening...He's the cutest and friendliest dog and everyone loves to have him around. It's a big plus if I can make him part of the costume I'm wearing!
We always take our dog trick-or-treating
then go over to our friends house(they have 2 little dogs)
and they play together while we enjoy the party!
My pups love to go to Petsmart to visit other pooches and try on the new costumes!
Our dog LOVES going out trick-or-treating. And then trying to steal the candy afterward!
My dog gets involved in all of the festivities by attending our yearly Halloween party and also by going trick or treating with us in costume!
We have not yet gotten our dog involved in Halloween but would like to get her a costume and take her trick or treating with us this year.
Every year we go to the People Pet Walk at Helen Woodward. We have a great time checking out all of the creative costumes.
I love to dress my dog up and take her trick or treating with me and the kids. SHe even has her own bag for treats :)
My dog likes the attention he gets when he has a costume on so he always wears something when we go out. We get a little carried away as it gets closer to Halloween.
This is our first Halloween for our family with our dog. We are very excited to involve him, we have tried with the cats in the past, with little success. We hope to have Donut participate in trick or treating with us, he loves going for walks.
my dog loves to trick or treat though she hates the costume. She is a people person and though we go for walks everyday she never gets to go up and visit the people at each house we pass. This is her day where not only does she get to visit but people look forward to it.
ALso, my son lost interest in trick or treating at 10 and I use the old stand by "do it for your dog" to get him to keep going so I can keep him little a little while longer
My dog loves to greet the trick or treaters!
We always dress our little dog up for Halloween (she's a Boston Terrier). Last year, we found her a crocodile costume that matched the costume our 4 year old was wearing. We sure got some looks. Ha!
Daisy is a participant in the local Humane Society Halloween Costume Contest and Carnival to benefit the Humane Society. Daisy was dressed as a butterfly! This is a fun event! Thanks! senekers@comcast.net

We just adopted our dog this spring but hope to take him to pick out pumpkins!! Thanks!
My little Lili dog passed away last year in the fall from a black widow spider bite. The meds from the vet didn't help as the poisons hit here kidney's and liver. She was good though, she'd come with me to the door and let the kids pet her when I was handing out the candy.
This year we still have our other little dog, a black min pin. He gets too afraid to be around the kids in the costumes.
However, we now have a Belgium Malinois and he's a big dog. I'd like it if I can get him to come to the dog too and let the kids pet him, but I'll have my husband help, until we see how he does with the costumes and the like.
I take my dogs trick-or-treating at relatives' houses (like my Grandma and Sister). Of course, this is mostly to show off their costumes, but I always have a little treat bag full of dog treats and halloween toys for each of them. Last year they went as the cowardly lion and the scarecrow from the wizard of oz. We also went to the petsmart event, as well as a halloween party at their doggy day camp.
I like to take my dogs with for trick or treating. Because it is usually cold, I like the costumes that are warmer and have a hat of some sort to protect them. Last year, I had a little dragon and a devil.
Last Halloween I dressed my poodle in pirate costume, complete with hat and eye patch, the kids who came to my door trick or treating loved it.
Last year, my dog and I made a fun lil' devil poster by stamping his paws all over a blanket and then drawing horns and all face details, also a fork, and that was the cover of my door
