My friend Tonya brought her dog (Lucy) over to play with our dog (Tenor) the other day. This was their first time meeting.
And it was hilarious.
Her little pup (at one year of age) is like the Energizer Bunny. She never stops. And just when you think she went this way, you realize she went that way and now she's right behind you.
She moves so fast, it's nearly impossible to capture her in photographs!
If one (or more) dog has resided in your home for awhile, and you plan to introduce another dog into the family, then at some point you are likely to sense some jealousy or have some issues with dog aggression.
This is natural -- primarily because the dogs' instinctual pack behavior comes into play and a hierarchy must be established as to who is the "lead dog" (Alpha), the "second in command" (Beta), and so on down to the "lowest ranking dog" (Omega).

The little guy, Tenor, is repeatedly taunting the "old man", Jersey.
In these pictures, Tenor was 3 months old and Jersey was 15 years old.
The folks at the Dog Hause came up with a list of 15 interesting facts about dogs.
I've chosen my favorites to share with you here...
Check out these videos of dogs that appear to be mean and ferocious, but their bark is worse than their bite.
These are quite funny, actually...
Sometimes you need a way to temporarily separate two dogs inside your home.
Sometimes, you just need to keep one dog out of a room or prevent him from going up or down stairs for awhile.
To give your dogs some freedom, yet restrict where they can roam in your house, I'd encourage you to "think outside the box".
...Try the Evenflo baby gate!
If you've already got one dog and you plan on bringing another dog into your home, there area few things you should know.
What should you do when an overly protective older dog goes too far in his role as Alpha dog?
Sometimes the leader of the pack needs to learn a few things himself!
