Introducing Your Dog To Your New Baby

Before you bring our new baby home you will want to make sure that your dog is ready for the new adventure. 

Some ideas are to:

• Play a CD of baby sounds around your dog before the baby even arrives to get him used to how the baby will sound.
• Invite a friend who has a baby over to meet your dog.
• Start "playing house" by carring a doll around the house and treating it like a real baby around your dog.

It's also a good idea that your dog knows basic commands and is well socialized before the baby arrives. So you will want to work on that now, if you haven't already. 

Socializing your dog may be the most important thing you do before you bring your baby home.
