I am looking to replace a 2003 Toyota 4 Runner for a more economical SUV. The reason I bought the 4 Runner is the electric operated sliding down rear window glass. The dogs can stay in the back with the rear window down. I cannot find a small SUV with this type of rear window. Most have an upward hatch or fixed rear window! Mfg's don't seem to see the need for an opening rear window and side windows are not offered either. If you know of an economical (Low fuel consumption) SUV with a sliding rear window please advise. Thanks, John Kerr
Hi John -
I haven't been through all of the vehicle reviews at DogCars.com, but they have a great list of dog-friendly vehicles... many of them SUVs.
That might be another place to check.
